Alternative Medicine

Alternative medicine has become more widely accepted these days. Holistic or complementary medicine aims to maximize the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of health. It aims to be a complete healthcare system that looks at all aspects of a person before a diagnosis and treatment.

Complementary medicine may be able to help us get back in tune with our bodies as it encourages us to be responsible for our own well-being. Knowing yourself and knowing what you need to be well helps you live in a health enhancing way. Certain forms of complementary medicine like aromatherapy can be practiced at home, but read extensively on the topic before you try anything out.
